Cancer has confirmed that it is still regularly attending Craigavon Area Hospital to receive treatment to prevent a recurrence of Willie Frazer, which almost killed it a few years back.
It developed Willie Frazer in 2013 and immediately began an intense course of chemotherapy which eventually led to a reduction in the tumor, but such was the severity of the Frazer that doctors still insist on regular check-ups and injections at the hospital to go along with its daily medications in a bid to keep the illness from recurring.
“It was a dark day indeed when I broke the news to my family that I had developed an extremely malignant Willie Frazer,” said cancer to the Daily Slabber in a moving interview. “It really came as a great shock to us all. I mean, you hear of this awful sickness but you can never, ever be ready for the moment you learn you have it.”
“The other diseases and viruses out there were really great about it,” he went on. “I don’t know what I would have done without them. AIDS sent me a lovely, very compassionate letter telling me to be strong, and Ebola came round to the house to comfort me, although only after repeated reassures that what I had wasn’t contagious.”
Cancer requested of us to ask our readers to keep it in their thoughts and prayers in case it ever has to go through such a harrowing experience again.
