The DUP have spent the day getting excited after it emerged that a Sinn Fein member doesn’t look kindly at the way Catholics were treated in the earlier decades of the state of Northern Ireland.
“Ah ha!” proclaimed Nigel Dodds when the Sinn Fein man expressed on Twitter a negative view of the history of Northern Ireland. “We’ve got them Sinn Fein ones now. To be honest, we’ve always suspected that Sinn Fein weren’t fans of Northern Ireland even existing – but now we’ve got the proof! I’m away to the House of Commons to make a furious statement on this such is the impact this absolutely stunning revelation is going to have on political life here. I’ll show Sinn Fein up good and proper let me tell you.”
Emma Little Pengelly was apoplectic about the fact that Sinn Fein have now been revealed as not looking too kindly on how the unionist establishment treated Catholics for decades in Northern Ireland, although the MP also expressed jubilation that the party had finally been exposed as having a negative view of unionist rule in the north. “They would have gotten away with it too if it wasn’t for the keen minds of the DUP who have finally caught them in the long grass. Sinn Fein better learn that you’ll not pull the wool over the eyes of the DUP forever!” exclaimed Mrs. Little Pengelly.
